White Reaper: Make Me Wanna Die
Through chance and circumstance, we wound up at Polyvinyl's showcase at Cheer Up Charlie's during this year's SXSW. Alongside Jacco Gardner, who we'd pinned as one of our must-see artists at the festival, we caught Louisville punk/grunge rockers White Reaper's sweaty, high-tempo set.
These dudes know how to put on one incredibly ferocious show, complete with denim jackets, and aggressive hair flicks, they got us up out of our seats and re-energised our (by that stage in the week) previously zombie selves.
Their latest single "Make Me Wanna Die" comes off their forthcoming debut full-length White Reaper Does It Again. It encapsulates that same filthy energy of power punk and grunge that they put out on stage, that untamed, DIY rawness in the progression of every slew of notes.
White Reaper Does It Again is out on the 17th July via the good people over at Polyvinyl Records.
