I'm not a 'morning person', I personally function best as the sun begins to set. On those rare occasions when I do get up and am fully alive in the mornings - I think I will in future be reaching for one album in particular - even if it's just to put a smug smile across my face for being so incredibly topical.
Melbourne's Good Morning are the little flicker of Australian talent representing my island home during our two night 'Unimpressed Fest' and I'm pretty stoked to have such a solid band fly the Aussie flag. Stefan and Liam have been writing songs together since high school, but it wasn't until they went halvsies on a Fostex 4 track tape machine that Good Morning was really born. Their deliciously analogue sound of warped and jangly guitars has been seen all over Melbourne at live show after live show, and the boys will be playing 4 shows as well as ours (did I mention they're playing ours?) which sounds like a pretty jam-packed week for two dudes who have mastered the art of sounding laid back.
Have a listen to their EP On The Street / You below, and I'd also recommend heading over to their Soundcloud, Bandcamp, or streaming platform of your choice to hear "Warned You" and some of their other tunes, all decidedly perfect for a lazy afternoon indoors.
