As our Willow Wood Musical Pilgrimage came to an end, we found ourselves back where it all began, London.
The UK is a great platform for supporting talent, especially emerging and unsigned. Whether it is the John Peel stage at Glastonbury, Later...with Jools Holland or my latest discovery, BBC Introducing (the TV show), England does an impressive job at spreading the word about their saturation of unsigned talent.
Luckily for me, I tuned in to the BBC Introducing television show in time to catch the bone-chillingly soulful vocals of George Ezra. I watched the show just as George began playing "Benjamin Twine."
The performance was taken from the BBC Introducing Stage at the 2013 Glastonbury Festival. Not only is Ezra's voice reminiscent of an old blues man, but his stage presence is engaging and powerful; his passion is infectious and resonates through to the audience.
George hails from Bristol, where BBC Radio Bristol first began to play his songs -- the fire only spread from there (including Burberry). His journey is only beginning, having just released his debut EP Did You Hear The Rain? this year.
