Meet the band formerly known as 'Swiss,' now under the new moniker, Alpine.
Described by The Guardian as "Quirky but not too Björky," Alpine is a Melbourne-based band with obvious resemblance to Bjork. Their sound could be easily mistaken for a Scandinavian band, yet this 6-piece is Australian through and through. Already catching the attention of SXSW, NPR, The Guardian, iTunes & Time Magazine just to name a few, Alpine is quickly cementing their name within the music industry [and beyond].
Members Phoebe Baker and Lou James bonded whilst in boarding school over their affinity for classic rock, cheesy humor, and music. The music was an aftermath - something that came naturally and has been well received ever since the formation.
Their sound mixes dreamy indie-pop, 70s classic rock, electro and our favorite - plenty of catchy guitar riffs. Their hit, "Gasoline" is their most recent single. Enjoy.
